Hamburg, Deutschland
Projectstart: 2015
On Saturday, August 1st, 2015, we started our intercultural Visions Music Festival with the aim of bringing together and showing the Hamburg residents the first recording session at Schnackenburgallee: We are all equal! The programme, made up of games, face painting, music bands and open-mic sessions was particularly exciting for the children and young people. There was even a particularly moving highlight: a spur-of-the-moment acoustic drumming session by the refugees, and which included some lively dancing. We now look back on a festival where people danced, laughed and ate lots of cake together and we hope that we not only succeeded in sending a message to the public, but also to convinced the refugees that they are welcome as part of Hamburg.
Special thanks to the artists: The Girl & The Ghost, Citizens of the Sun and Marap. We would also like to thank Luthergemeinde, fördern & wohnen, Ali Cola, HaSpa, AStA, Zohur Entertainment, all private donors and the collection centre.
