How did you learn about Visions for Children e.V.?

I have known Wana for about a year, but I didn’t know until recently that she was connected with Visions for Children. I had also been looking to get involved with a non-profit organization for quite some time. I did a lot of research and, to be honest, I was quickly overwhelmed by the options. It was clear to me that I wanted to work to help children. Then I came across Visions for Children. The name really says it all.

What made you decide to support a small organization like ours?

I believe, and this was confirmed in our conversations, that Visions for Children is a young organization, the future of which I can help shape. And it’s important for me to be able to see and to know that the donations I help generate end up where they are most needed.

Why do you find it important to get involved in social projects?

I learned very early on that you get back what you give. This makes me happy and strengthens my self-confidence. It really enriches my life.

What does education mean to you?

Education is the first step to independence, to be able to master your life and to take care of yourself and your family. That’s why it’s important to me to give children hope through my volunteer work.

What was your favorite subject at school?

Art and gym were my favorite subjects. On the one hand I really love sports, and on the other hand, I liked the flexibility of art class. I also liked music a lot because I was interested in singing and playing instruments, as well as in theater.

What is the most valuable thing you learned and were able to take with you from your school days?

The subjects I mentioned above have had significant influence on me, because I have stuck with them until today. They inspire me and give me strength and confidence.
