OUR RAMADAN EMERGENCY RELIEF 2026
We are launching this year’s humanitarian Ramadan emergency relief with food packages and winter supplies for families in need in Afghanistan.
The fasting month of Ramadan is a time of sharing, reflection and solidarity. While many people are able to break their fast together with their families, millions around the world do not know where their next meal will come from. Especially in crisis regions such as Afghanistan, many families are affected by extreme financial poverty and hunger.
Overall, one in five people in Afghanistan live in fear of their next meal. During Ramadan, this plight is exacerbated for many families who do not have enough food to break their fast and are in urgent need of support.
The heavy snowfall and deaths from the cold in recent weeks have further exacerbated the situation and highlighted how essential support is for Afghan households suffering from extreme winter cold and lack of supplies.
