In areas of crisis, people often lack the bare necessities. Consequences of poverty, e.g. hunger, not only harm their health but also their development of body and mind and have a strong effect on their abilities. Malnourished, thirsty or even hungry children suffer from a lack of concentration and sometimes even cannot attend school at all. Children, who feel cold and lack adequate, warm clothing face the same difficulties. Thus, humanitarian actions in times of crises are a basic element of our work. At least twice a year, in winter and in the month of Ramadan, we support especially needy people by helping in a non-bureaucratic way. In most cases, packages with food and other basic goods are distributed to whole families.
