We have seen an enormous increase in the number of refugees in Germany in recent years. People who flee their home countries because of war, hunger and persecution leave their social network and everything they know behind to make a new start. Once they arrive in Germany, many are initially left to cope with the problems of their new everyday life on their own. Overburdened authorities, xenophobia, fear of the future and language barriers are just some of the problems that refugees have to deal with every day. Through individual activities such as the annual Christmas baking event, we are always committed to the open-minded integration of immigrants in Hamburg.
